Aging Population and Care Crisis

RMCS
As populations age across many countries, the issue of elderly care has become increasingly urgent. In the past, older family members were often cared for by women within the household, whose labor was unpaid and largely unrecognized. However, with rising life expectancy and declining birth rates, the number of elderly individuals is growing rapidly. Many seniors now live alone, and the demand for professional care services is increasing. At the same time, the cost of elderly care continues to rise. Much of the caregiving work is still performed by women, either unpaid family members or underpaid workers in care institutions. This situation raises serious concerns about the sustainability of current caregiving systems.
